Guide to Fair Squared Condoms
A condom is a condom, right? Yes – and no. Not all condoms are manufactured for security, safety and with the environment in mind, which is exactly what Fair Squared condoms are. Fair Squared have a range of products which are ethically produced, cruelty free and certified by the Vegan Society, which fits neatly into the current shape of society with its preference for all things vegan. These are condoms with an impressive spec and go beyond the norm.
Just in case you’re not familiar with Fair Trade, we’ll just do a quick round-up and give you the basics so you can make an informed decision about your contraception. From their own website: “Fairtrade sets social, economic and environmental standards for both companies and the farmers and workers who grow the food we love. For farmers and workers the standards include protection of workers’ rights and the environment….” So basically by buying Fair Trade products you know that your money is going directly into the pockets of the people who made them. And this is something which has been undertaken by Fair Square, in all of their products. They are committed to zero waste and being sustainable, their condoms are manufactured from a Fair Trade natural rubber. They swap fancy packaging for something far more simple and the branding and design are quite minimalist too. Fair Square don’t just manufacture condoms, they also donate more than 10,000 of them per year for sex education to some schools in Germany. Considering how important it is to get the right type of education into young people early, this shows the progressive, modern thinking of the brand. There are five different varieties of Fair Square condom:
#1. The Original condom. As you would imagine, this is a straightforward condom. It’s lubricated, transparent, has a cylindrical shape and a reservoir tip. It measures 54mm in width, 200mm in length and the thickness is 0.065. If you have no special requirements then this could well be the condom for you.
#2. The Sensitive Dry condom. This one is a little different, it still has the same shape and transparency and reservoir tip, but it comes completely unlubricated. So for those who have extreme sensitivities you can use no lube, or the one that suits you. It’s a condom with a blank canvas for you to work with. Width: 52mm, length: 180mm, thickness: 0.06.
#3. The Ultra Thin condom. This one doesn’t take too much explaining, it’s transparent, lubricated, has a reservoir tip and is manufactured out of the very thinnest rubber - it’s thickness is just 0.005mm. It’s designed to create a sensation which is less impacted by the condom, for a more close feeling all round.
#4. The XL condom. Sometimes a condom is a great fit, but sometimes it can be a little tight. And if it doesn’t fit properly that can lead to slippage and tearing, so it’s important to get the sizing right. If you’re finding that standard condoms are just too small in either width or length, then Fair Square have a solution for you – their XL version. It has the same basic spec as the others, but with slightly different dimensions to fit the larger gentleman. Width: 60mm, length: a minimum of 205mm, thickness: 0.07mm.
#5. The XXL condom. When all else fails and you can’t find a condom that’s comfortable and fits snugly because they’re all too tight or too short or both, then Fair Squared has that covered too. Their XXL condom has the dimensions: width – 64mm, length – a minimum of 255 and a thickness of 0.065mm.
#6. The Max Perform condom. Designed to promote all elements of sexual intercourse, this condom is a regular size and made from thin latex. It’s coup de grace is that it comes complete with a cock ring to encourage the strongest erections and maximum performance in the bedroom. Even if you don’t strictly need one of these, they can still be fun to try out.
But Fair Square don’t stop with making condoms, they also manufacture their own brand of lube to take with you to the bedroom – the Green Tea lube. This is body safe, it’s water based and it’s suitable to use during sex with condoms, without condoms or with sex toys. As you might expect it’s green tea flavoured with a hint of lemon and because of this pleasant taste it’s very popular for oral sex, if that’s something that you’re anticipating. It’s not organic, but it is Fair Trade certified so it has all the same assurances that we mentioned at the beginning. If you don’t need it for sexual activity, this lube is also a great choice as a massage gel.
