Climax Delay Condoms
As we all know, sex is designed to be a pleasurable experience. It’s also called rapid or early ejaculation and premature climax – doesn’t matter what label you assign to it; it all means the same thing. It’s officially defined as: “persistent or recurrent ejaculation with minimal stimulation before, on or shortly after penetration and before the person wishes it.”

What’s the difference?
Firstly, climax delay condoms are just a little thicker than normal. Don’t worry, it won’t be like pulling on a woolly sock, you’re not going to lose sensation entirely, but the thicker texture just dulls it slightly, aimed at keeping you in control more than without one. Texture aside, these condoms typically also have a 5% benzocaine lubricant already applied to them. If you aren’t familiar with what benzocaine is, it’s used as a local anaesthetic (and pain-reliever in different circumstances). It works by temporarily numbing the area to which it is applied.
Benzocaine solution or cream inside the condom de-sensitises to help delay ejaculation and prolong erection during intercourse. It’s perfectly safe to use and can be very helpful. The climax control lubricant is released by body heat after the condom is rolled onto the penis so that the penis head is desensitized, allowing you to withstand much more stimulation before climaxing. Don’t worry, your partner won’t lose any sensation, they’re just going to get to enjoy you for that bit longer!
Lidocaine is another lubricant, or spray, that’s sometimes used and has exactly the same effect.
